YouTube Music receives the 'Smart Downloads' feature to automatically save up to 500 favorite tracks
You can access the new feature in the Downloads section of the Library tab of your YouTube music application.
STRENGTHS
- Smart downloads replace the current Mixtape offline
- Requires a subscription to YouTube Premium.
- The function was detected in version 3.19.54 of the YouTube Music application.
YouTube Music has been updated with a feature called "Smart Downloads", designed to automatically download up to 500 songs. This new feature essentially replaces YouTube's existing "Offline online without connection" feature to download offline content based on your listening habits. While the previous feature was meant to store up to 100 music tracks for offline playback, the latest addition extends the limit to 500. YouTube Music for Android initially extends the smart downloads feature. It will probably hit iOS in the coming days.
The YouTube Music app for Android devices shows a pop-up window announcing the arrival of the smart downloads feature. You can also open it by going to the Downloads section of the Library tab of the application.
"Daily night, when you use WiFi, your favorite music is automatically download so you always have something to listen to", is the description of the smart downloads feature.
As we said, the new addition replaces the Offline Mixtape function and allows you to keep a collection of 500 numbers instead of the original limit of 100 numbers.
Simply click on the Like button next to your favorite song in the YouTube Music app to take advantage of the smart download feature. It is also important to note that the new feature only works with YouTube Music Premium and YouTube Premium subscriptions.
As indicated by 9to5Google, users still have access to the recorded collection through the Offline Mix function via the Mix Tone key in the Home and Library tabs, as well as the application's shortcut.
We could verify the existence of the smart downloads feature in version 3.19.54 of YouTube Music for Android. However, the feature is not yet displayed in iOS.
